Después de un largo día de trabajo, Augusto se sentó en la silla mecedora de su estudio a fumarse un cigarrillo y relajarse un poco. Al mecerse una y otra vez, contemplaba el afiche de una pintura de su artista preferido, Salvador Dalí, colgado en la pared del estudio, justo en frente de su silla. El afiche de la pintura que detallaba fue creada por Dalí en 1935 y lleva el nombre de “La mujer con la cabeza de rosas”.
Mientras pensaba en la increíble ilusión de tridimensionalidad de la pintura, más las sombras y la predominancia del verde, notó como de repente la mujer de la cabeza de rosas, protagonista en la obra, comenzó a moverse levemente, como haciendo una especie de baile pero no alterando mucho su posición original. De manera paulatina, los movimientos de la mujer eran más marcados, hasta el punto de llegar a un baile muy seductor, casi hipnótico, en el cual hacía uso completo de todo su cuerpo. Fue en ese momento que Augusto sintió un escalofrío que se originó en su espina y explotó en su cabeza con tres veces más poder.
Los colores del afiche se tornaron más reales y la mujer con la cabeza llena de rosas, mediante señas hechas por sus manos que encajaban en la armonía de su movimiento, llamaba a Augusto. Enseguida Augusto se levantó de su silla y se paró justo en frente del afiche, éste ocupaba ahora su rango de vista completamente. En ese instante la mujer con la cabeza llena de rosas volvió a su posición original. “¿Qué pasó?” se preguntó Augusto, quien no quitaba su mirada de la seductora mujer. Decepcionado, dio media vuelta con la intención de volver a su silla, pero en ese momento la protagonista de la pintura sacó su mano derecha del afiche y de un jalón se trajo a Augusto dentro de su mundo.
Augusto miró a su alrededor y no lo podía creer, estaba en uno de los desiertos de Dalí. Buscó a la mujer con la cabeza de rosas, quien estaba a aproximadamente veinte metros de él. La mujer seguía bailando y al mismo tiempo se alejaba cada vez más de Augusto, asombrado de la gracia de sus movimientos y de su flexibilidad. De pronto, Augusto sintió que alguien tocó su hombro. Tras buscar a la mujer de la cabeza de rosas por el apartamento y fallar en el intento, Augusto se devolvió por donde había entrado, la única opción que tenía en realidad porque el lugar no tenía más salidas. “Perdí mi oportunidad” pensaba. Cuando salió de la gran cabeza de león, Augusto seguía en un desierto, no obstante, la predominancia cromática del verde en el entorno se había ido. Cuando puso sus dos patas frontales sobre el suelo, hubo un sonido ensordecedor y un corto temblor. Augusto aprovechó el momento para saltar y abrazar una de las patas del caballo, que enseguida comenzó de nuevo a moverse. Estaba entretenido con la peculiaridad de cada forma cuando la vio a unos cuantos metros arriba de él, era la mujer con la cabeza llena de rosas.
Ambos estiraron sus brazos y se agarraron las manos gracias a una extraña fuerza que los atrajo. Augusto tuvo un furor inmediato, sintió un alivio instantáneo de la inmensa carga de sus penas, un sentimiento de confianza del que sabía sería siempre esclavo.
