Ese bendito reloj que no avanza. ¿En qué momento decidí levantarme tan temprano hoy?, ¿por qué no he podido dormir? Qué tontería, el tiempo se ha detenido. Traté de distraerme un poco tomando una ducha y arreglándome, pero incluso tomando un respiro entre uno y otro terminé demasiado temprano.
Me serví algo de comer y no encontré mejor lugar para sentarme que frente a aquel reloj de madera con números dorados que parece estarse deteniendo un instante más en cada segundo sólo para sacarme de quicio. Me tiembla una mano, puedo escuchar mi corazón en mis oídos, ese martilleo que me deja cada vez más intranquilo.
¿Por qué no puedo controlarme, por qué su regreso me pone tan nervioso? Hacía ya mucho tiempo que no tenía esta sensación y no sé por qué ahora regresa tan repentinamente. Es claro que cuando los sentimientos hibernan viven más que sus portadores. Pensé que habría superado esta sensación, pensé que sería cosa de inmadurez, los arrebatos de un niño… pero después de tanto tiempo vuelvo a sentirlos como si fuera la primera vez.
Para cuando llegó el momento subí al coche y me dirigí al café de siempre, donde nos habíamos reunido fecha a fecha durante dos años. Aquellos dos años que pensé se los había tragado el tiempo. Conduje a la perfección esta vez, atendiendo a todas las señales. Si iba a morir no quería que fuera antes de llegar al café, quizá mañana podría morir, quizá ayer, pero hoy no. Hoy regresaría al fin y nada ni nadie podía arrebatarme aquel momento.
Al llegar allí vi su figura, tan noble como siempre, tan estilizada. Cómo podía tener una pose tan tranquila mientras mi mundo estaba a punto de estallar de una extraña euforia, mi corazón no paraba de correr a toda prisa, al punto de preocuparme por estallar en esta extraña mezcla de alegría y nerviosismo.
Al acércame a ella su bella sonrisa calmo mi corazón, por fin volvíamos a vernos, sin duda seguía estando bella para mí y mis sentimientos hacia ella estaban intactos, el aroma de su cuerpo removió en mi cada momento ocurrido. Fue su saludo lleno de emoción y de cariño, el que me hizo sentir sus deseos de revivir aquellos instantes que llenaban nuestra vida de felicidad, sin duda alguna ella era capaz de relajarme en toda situación y de llenar mi corazón de mil colores.
Entramos al café, que por varios años había sido nuestro lugar predilecto. Estaba justo como lo recordábamos: un ambiente cálido, con bellos cuadros de arte y sillas algo rústicas. Pedimos una taza de café y mientras llegada charlamos un poco sobre las cosas que habían transcurrido estos dos años donde ninguno sabia nada del otro. Fue entonces que lanzó la bomba. Yo sabía que todo no podía ser tan color de rosa, que en el paraíso yacía una serpiente.
“¿Tienes idea de por qué te he citado hoy?”
“Pues, se me ocurría que para recordar viejos tiempos”.
“No jodas, que no has sabido de mí en dos años y lo nuestro no fue que terminara en muy buenos términos. Te tenías que imaginar que la cita era por algo más. Algo de importancia”…

¿Aún no te imaginas para que te cite?, ¡tan poca importancia le diste a mi cita, acaso te olvidaste de esos instantes que vivimos? Fueron las preguntas que una a una me lanzaba, y que para mí eran como dardos mortales, ya que no era verdad, porque al saber que nos volveríamos a reencontrar, se avivo en mi la llama del amor que poco a poco se estaba extinguiendo y que, al verla allí tan elegante, bella, con ese garbo y altivez que solo ella sabe lucir, nos detuvimos en el tiempo para solo observarnos, caramba está más hermosa que nunca, pero al verla de todo me olvide, no sabía que contestar.
Y de igual forma me da miedo imaginar siquiera el motivo de este reencuentro, me aterra el pensar que me diga que ya se olvidó de lo que una vez tuvimos, que me diga que tiene un nuevo amor, oh Dios acaso me dirá que no puede vivir sin mí y que el tiempo y la distancia han reafirmado este sentimiento, eso es lo que más Ansío ya que vivo como una rama seca, que va de un lado para otro, sin rumbo, sin deseos de vivir…….
Solo le dije te sigo amando, ella me miro, se sonrió y me dijo que no me ha dejado de amar y que día día ha tenido en quien recordarme, me quede pensando en esas palabras y todo mi ser se estremeció, y le pregunte ¡porque me dices eso, que me quieres decir, acaso me has ocultado algo?
Ella me mira y trata de decirme, pero las palabras le salen entrecortadas, no entiendo, solo escucho unos pasos y una voz angelical que cruza la entrada del café y dulcemente me dice papa, estoy en el cielo, toco la luna y un ángel me susurra al oído, no necesito más palabras ni explicaciones, otro día será, hoy solo quiero vivir el presente y disfrutar esta nueva oportunidad que el destino me regala, vuelvo a vivir y solo espero para mis amados un nuevo mañana.
