Cuento final
Tomo aire y sabe a gloria. ¡Que delicia el aire en mis pulmones! Y que bello es estar vivo. Mientras avanza la fiesta, todo se torna más colorido. Veo los rasgos de la gente más marcados, sus formas son geométricas. Entonces veo a la chica con ojos de caleidoscopio. A lo lejos, entre la gente, me sonríe y yo le sonrío de vuelta. Se pierde entre la multitud y empieza la persecución.
Comienza así un sin fin de montañas y colores que se despliegan ante mis ojos como alas de mariposa a punto de tomar vuelo. ¿A dónde la habrá llevado el viento? El diamante que llevo en mi bolsillo ilumina el camino y logro encontrarla, tan cerca, tan lejos… tan inmaculado ser. Un polvo de belleza invade su cuerpo y pienso en tocarla, estiro uno a uno los dedos de mi mano pero como una dulce maga se desvanece bajo el frio de la espesa noche.
La sigo hasta un puente junto a una fuente donde gente en caballitos come pasteles de malvavisco. Todos sonríen mientras paso frente a las flores que crecen increíblemente altas. Entonces la veo, a punto de montarse en un taxi hecho de periódicos y antes de que lo haga la agarro de un brazo y le pregunto su nombre. “Lucy”, me contesta, se monta en el taxi y la pierdo una vez más.
Sin mucho esfuerzo, Lucy se apodera por completo de mi mente y empiezo a imaginarla entre brillos y sonrisas, entre estrellas y aspavientos que me enlazan con sus ojos. Y descubro que no hace falta tocarla para sentirla mía, porque entre su cielo y mi cielo aún hay cabida para un loco soñador.
